It’s 90 seconds to midnight and people from every age group, every socioeconomic background, every geographic corner of the world are being sucked into the vortex of addiction.

While I don’t condone the wholesale legalization of every drug available, I do condone decriminalization and treatment. The US has begun to move in that direction, but it moves slowly and contrary to popular belief, not all people are created equal. Drug treatment isn’t available to all. Marginalized communities, especially, people of color and the impoverished are left behind.
